Timothée Chalamet is a certified Hollywood heartthrob who attracts huge numbers to the box office. The young actor has had a number of high-profile romances since stepping into the spotlight and has said that he isn’t too comfortable with the attention they get.
In a 2018 interview with W magazine, he talked about his anxiety around the word “date” to begin with.
“Date is very much a scary word, because then that context has been established,” he explained. “You can always see people on early date behavior.”
But in an interview with Vogue Paris that same year, he revealed his commitment to true romance.
“When you love, love wholly,” he declared. “Love unabashedly.”
Here’s the known dating history of Chalamet so far.

Lourdes Leon
Chalamet grew up in New York City and went to high school at famed performing arts school Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. Though it’s a public school, it attracts the children of the rich and famous because of its reputation as an artistic haven. In 2013, both Chalamet and Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon were attending at the same time. At some point, they dated.
They haven’t shared many specific details about the length of their relationship or how it went down, but in a 2017 interview on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy, Chalamet shared they were still friends. He had even talked to her about his role in Call Me By Your Name.
“She hasn’t seen it yet, but she’s excited to,” he told host Andy Cohen. “She teases me about the public appearances … the movie itself she’s very excited about and the reception it’s been getting is only a great thing. It’s like the public appearance stuff around it, like some of the late night things I’ve done. I get made fun of.”
After Cohen asked how long he and Leon dated, Chalamet laughed and replied, “Next question.”
In an April 2021 interview with Vanity Fair, Leon talked about Chalamet and called him her “first boyfriend.” She said, “I respect him a lot, we were a little item.”
Lily-Rose Depp
Lily-Rose Depp and Chalamet met working on Netflix’s The King and were rumored to be dating in September 2018. They were seen hanging around New York City together and then in Paris in December. They attended The King’s premiere at the 2019 Venice Film Festival, and then headed off on a romantic trip to Capri, Italy, where they were photographed sharing a kiss on a boat.
Two years later, the Wonka star told GQ that the kissing pictures were a blow to his privacy.
“I went to bed that night thinking that was one of the best days of my life,” he explained. “I was on this boat all day with someone I really loved, and closing my eyes, I was like, indisputably, ‘That was great.’ And then waking up to all these pictures, and feeling embarrassed, and looking like a real knob? All pale?”
He added, “And then people are like, ‘This is a PR stunt.’ A PR stunt?! Do you think I'd want to look like that in front of all of you?!”
In April 2020, Us Weekly reported that Chalamet and Depp had ended their relationship. A year later, the pair were spotted together in New York City again.
Around that same time, Depp made an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show and explained why she never talks about her private life.
“The value of privacy is something that’s been instilled in me from an early age,” she said. “Growing up in a family like I did, it was always something that was … I always learned the importance of privacy and valuing that and keeping things just for yourself. And so that’s something that I’ve carried on into my own career and that’s really important to me.”
She added that she is grateful for the “privilege in waking up and being able to love” her work but that she wants something for herself.
“It’s just about balancing that with also wanting to keep other things private and enjoy other parts of life,” she said.
Eiza González
Chalamet and actress Eiza González were first spotted together in June 2020 taking a trip in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. They reportedly took a private jet and enjoyed Chileno Bay for five days.
“They enjoyed the luxury resort and seemed to have the best time,” a source told People at the time. “They recently started hanging out and they looked happy together.”
But it seemed to be a brief connection. In October of that year, E! reported they had broken up. One source said then that they hadn’t been dating “for a while now.” They added, “They weren’t together for long, just that Cabo trip.”
Sarah Talabi
In April 2022, Chalamet was seen in Coachella with model and influencer Sarah Talabi, who shared an Instagram Story with the words, “Had the best time with the best group of people.” She tagged Chalamet and her twin sister, Leah Talabi.
Talabi told Page Six that she did hang out with Chalamet at the music festival but moved on quickly to other topics.
“I was at Coachella this weekend, as well as the Revolve Festival, and a few other private parties,” she said. “That was me in the photos; my twin sister, Leah Talabi, was there, too. We were all just hanging out and vibing with the music. It was the greatest night of my life.”
She went on, “Everyone is asking me if I was kissing Timothée Chalamet at Coachella, and that is a good question. But a great question would be asking our world leaders why the Earth is now losing 1.2 trillion tons of ice each year due to global warming and why climate crisis reform has been completely ineffective.”
Great question, indeed.
Kylie Jenner
In April 2023, Chalamet was linked to The Kardashians star Kylie Jenner. The pair may have first met in January, where they were seen chatting at Paris Fashion Week during the Jean Paul Gaultier show in a video shared by gossip account DeuxMoi. TMZ released pics of her Ranger Rover parked outside Chalamet’s Beverly Hills home a few months later. Then, an eyewitness told Daily Mail that they saw Chalamet getting into Jenner’s car after leaving an art show in Santa Monica.
At first, sources told People that the reality star and Chalamet were just having fun, and Jenner “just wants to date without any pressure” after “years of back and forth” with the father of her two children, Travis Scott.
“[Chalamet and Jenner] hang out every week. It’s not serious. Kylie is having fun,” the insider said. “Everyone in the family is happy and supportive of Kylie dating.”
But they continued to date throughout the year and were seen kissing at a Beyoncé concert in September.
They kissed some more in public, before eventually making a red carpet appearance at the Golden Globe Awards together in January 2024. They reportedly began getting serious, with sources telling Entertainment Tonight and People about the change in their relationship.
A source told People, “They’re both real with each other and things have been easy and fun. Timothée reminds Kylie to live in a very ‘present’ way, and she really likes that about him. They both push each other to be better people, and that’s a constant thing in their relationship.”
“Things have been going very well between Kylie and Timothée,” an insider told ET. “They are extremely supportive of one other and like to be there for each other.”
Public appearances began to taper off, which led to rumors they had split. But on May 29, a source told Entertainment Tonight that Chalamet and Jenner are still dating.
“Kylie and Timothée are still seeing each other and happy,” the insider shared. “They don’t need to try to make things work and it just comes naturally to them. Their relationship is easy. They make an effort to see each other when they can and stay in touch when they’re not geographically close to one another. They’re in constant and fluid communication. They see a long-lasting relationship together.”
The couple was then photographed on a movie date on June 28, 2024.
